Beaver Dam Raceway Will Be A Staple Again In 2021 For EBR

The 2021 racing season is on the horizon and Eric Blumer Racing is excited to see the first (tentative) schedule announced. The third-mile clay of Beaver Dam Raceway (Beaver Dam, WI) appears it will again be a staple of team’s schedule this year. With a robust slate of over 25 events at BDR, 23 of which EBR intends to run, 2021 promises to be a fun and interesting season for dirt racing fans.

Along with 14 “Five-Division Nights,” we are particularly proud to see our INEX Legends class on the card with a number of Open Wheel shows. Several of those events will be aired live on the internet.

The most meaningful race of the season for EBR will take place on opening night, April 17, for the Wipperfurth Memorial. Paired with the MSA 360 Sprint Cars for the first of two MSA shows, this race honors one of our earliest supporters, Jim Wipperfurth. In the 2020 edition of the annual event, Eric finished second to Jared Apel in both his heat and feature.

The following week, the Bumper to Bumper IRA 410 Sprint Cars invade Beaver Dam for the first of four dates booked during the 2021 season. In 2020, fans that couldn’t make it to the track were able to follow us on the live broadcasts with Floracing as they covered the IRA and the rest of the show. We anticipate being part of the live internet broadcasts again this season.

July 3, is certainly a date to circle on the calendar as we’ll share the program with the Badger Midget Series and the Auto Meter Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Series. Being from Sun Prairie, WI, campaigning in one of these classes is a primary goal for Eric in the future. This event always brings out a lot of EBR’s fans and sponsors. Both Justin Hoium and Greg Leatherberry, our dedicated crewmen, look forward to sharing the bill with Badger, as they both have deep roots in that sanctioning body.

A dirt show in Wisconsin does not get much bigger than the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars, who storm BDR on Saturday, June 19. Last season the Legends did not race when the WoO Sprinters came to town, but the INEX group was pleased to supplement the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series. That was a televised show and the 6E was again the runner-up in both the heat and main, this time to Jared Eckes. We’d expect the 2021 visit to BDR to be televised on the internet through the WoO’s service.

That’s the season as we know it so far. We look forward to seeing the Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series schedule and would expect Gravity Park USA in Chilton, 141 Speedway in Francis Creek and our hometown Angell Park Speedway to be on that docket, but time will tell.

We are still firming up sponsorship for 2021, so we’ll take another opportunity to thank our 2020 partners:

These are the businesses and folks who are helping to keep Eric on the track through their generous support in 2020! Dog Guard of Wisconsin; BRS Radiator, Machine & Fabrication; Northern Air Systems, Inc.; Phil Espenes; Storage & Handling Systems; Club LaMark; Bullseye Games; Ground Up Lifts; Sieg Law Office; OWL Graphics and Lettering; Grandpa Blumer, Bulltown Legends and Casey Bollig Photography.

As always, this is not an official accounting of a particular track or series and their schedules. Please see their official pages for the most accurate and current information.
