It’s another doubleheader for the EBR team this weekend, June 12 and 13, starting at Beaver Dam Raceway on Saturday and Angell Park Speedway on Sunday.
Last week the team only ran BDR on Saturday where Eric started 9th, avoided several mishaps in front of him and brought the car home in one piece, finishing 5th. This was a night for the old 1200/1250 engines, as those cars took all the podium positions. Congratulations to Ryan Kuehn on his win!
On Sunday the team went to Angell Park to enjoy the All-Star/IRA sprint cars and Badger Midgets. It was great to see a huge crowd and old friends.
Tomorrow, Saturday, June 12, we’re at Beaver Dam Raceway for “New Glarus,” Night and their 5-Division show. It should be noted that, while Eric does not drink beer, there’s almost always Spotted Cow in the cooler. This, along with the Blumer family’s place in New Glarus history where Dr. Samuel Blumer (great x3 or so, grandfather) was the first doctor there and is credited with perhaps starting the original New Glarus Brewery (circa 1848) we are hoping for a good night! Sunday we make the four minute tow to Sun Prairie’s Angell Park Speedway, our truly hometown track. The team’s excited to share the card with the Badger Midget Series and Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Cars for the Kevin Doty Classic. This is a Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series event. Eric is currently third in BDR points. Nationally, he’s 35th out of nearly 120 scored and 3rd among Wisconsin INEX drivers in the Semi-Pro Dirt class. We’ll share the Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series points standings once they are posted.
